Cali Energy replaces and repairs roofs in Glendale under its C-39 roofing license. Clay tile cracks under foot traffic and around mounting feet. There are two ways to put solar on it: lift the tile, mount to the deck and reset it, or strip the tile from the array footprint only and re-roof that area in shingle. On our 2025 Glendale project we priced both and recommended the second: the array sits on a shingle field on flashed feet, and the clay tile stays on every slope and edge around it.
