Tile roof repair that keeps your tile

• Lift-and-relay. The tile comes off and is stacked, the old underlayment is stripped, sheathing is checked and replaced where damaged, new underlayment goes down and the same tile goes back. Lift-and-relay cost
• Flashings under tile. Walls, chimneys, valleys and vents. In Porter Ranch about four hundred square feet of tile came off, the flashing around the chimney was replaced, and then the array went on.
• Cracked and slipped tile. Replaced or reset, and the cause found: foot traffic, a loose fastener, or failed underlayment beneath. Cracked or slipped roof tiles

1. Inspection. The tile, the flashings, and the underlayment where tile is lifted to look.
2. Written scope. Area to lift, underlayment and flashings to renew, a sheathing allowance and tile to replace.
3. Permit where the work requires it.
4. Lift and stack. Tile is lifted carefully and stacked on the roof.
5. Renew underneath. Sheathing, underlayment and flashings.
6. Relay. The same tile goes back, with replacement tile matched where pieces broke.
