Solar panel installation in Tujunga, CA
Cali Energy designs, permits and installs solar panels in Tujunga, along with the main-panel work they need. Our Tujunga projects run from modules on tilt legs over a flat roof to a house and an ADU on separate meters, and the most recent one was switched on thirteen days after its final inspection.
Tujunga is in the City of Los Angeles, so LADBS issues the permits and LADWP connects the system; a few canyon homes in ZIP code 91042 lie outside the city and go through Los Angeles County instead. On our 2025 Tujunga project the final inspection passed two days after the installation, and LADWP authorized permission to operate thirteen days after that. Cali Energy, a solar installer licensed under CSLB #1032379, files the permits and the LADWP paperwork and installs the panels.

- Mid-century houses. In ZIP code 91042, 66.3% of the 6,033 single-family homes inside the city, by LA County Assessor records, were built before 1960, with a median build year of 1954.
- Panels of that age. On one of our Tujunga houses the existing 200-amp panel took the solar after the main breaker was derated to 175 amps. Main panel upgrades

Insurance on request
Before a Tujunga installation in December 2022, the homeowner asked for a certificate of our workers' compensation insurance with their name on it. We requested it from our insurance agent that day and it was issued the same evening; the system went on on 23 December, and the final inspection was confirmed passed on 4 January 2023.
