Solar on a shingle roof replaced a year earlier
The house had a new composition shingle roof in the autumn of 2021. A year later the solar went on top of it: a main array on one face, a smaller one by the gable, and the conduit run over the ridge.
This Tujunga installation went onto a composition shingle roof that had been replaced the year before, under an LADBS re-roof permit finaled on 30 October 2021. Cali Energy installed the arrays on two roof faces on 12 October 2022, ran the conduit over the ridge, and mounted a SolarEdge HD-Wave inverter on the wall. The final inspection was booked for 22 October and rebooked for 29 October.

The story
The roof on this house was replaced in the autumn of 2021: 29 squares of composition shingle under an LADBS re-roof permit issued in September and finaled on 30 October 2021. A year later the solar went on top of it, so the array sits on shingles that were a year old. A re-roof permit's status can be looked up, as explained in checking a re-roof permit.
The installation was on Wednesday 12 October 2022. The main array went on one face of the roof, and a smaller group by the gable on another face. The conduit runs over the ridge and down to a SolarEdge HD-Wave inverter on the wall.
The final inspection was requested for Saturday 22 October and then rebooked for the following Saturday, 29 October. The array sits on a roof replaced only a year earlier, with that work permitted and finaled on record.
