Solar panel repair in Valley Village, CA

Cali Energy repairs and services home solar in Valley Village. Four Valley Village systems are under our monitoring, three of them for more than five years. When a microinverter went silent on a Valley Village roof in 2026, we confirmed it with a clamp meter on the roof, had the manufacturer's claim approved in two days and replaced the unit; when a second failed a month later, we did it again.

A silent module on the monitoring can be a failed device or a lost connection, and the two need different fixes. On a Valley Village system in July 2026 we diagnosed the module on the roof with a clamp meter rather than from the monitoring alone, opened the manufacturer's claim, had it approved two days later, lifted the module and replaced the microinverter, and confirmed it reporting again. On another Valley Village system the monitoring stopped because the carrier retired its 3G network: no part had failed, and we confirmed that with the manufacturer before quoting anything.

Solar service in Valley Village

  • Our systems here. Four Valley Village systems are under our monitoring, three of them running for more than five years.
  • Older houses and new builds. Valley Village's single-family homes have a median build year of 1948; one of our Valley Village systems sits on a new two-story house with a basement and a residential sprinkler system.
  • Diagnosis on the roof. A clamp meter on the module leads tells a dead microinverter from a monitoring gap before any part is ordered.

Two microinverters, two claims

On our Valley Village system, installed with a microinverter under each module and switched on in January 2024, one microinverter stopped reporting in July 2026. We confirmed the silent module on the roof with a clamp meter, opened the manufacturer's warranty claim on 16 July, had it approved on 18 July with the replacement shipped within the week, lifted the module and replaced the microinverter, and confirmed the unit reporting again. When a second microinverter failed on the same roof a month later, we repeated the cycle, and filed the labor reimbursement with the manufacturer, with the failed units prepared for return and analysis. When the network went away

On a Valley Village system we switched on in June 2020, twenty-four days after the application, the monitoring stopped two years later. Nothing had failed: the system's cellular modem ran on a 3G network standard that the carrier retired. We confirmed the diagnosis and the warranty position with the manufacturer's support before quoting, then set out the options for the owner: a current-standard modem, a move onto the house network, or no monitoring at all. The system itself kept producing; only the reporting had stopped.

How a service call runs in Valley Village

  1. Monitoring first: which module or device went quiet, and when.
  2. Diagnosis on site with a meter, so the claim and the part are right.
  3. Warranty claim with the manufacturer, and labor reimbursement where the manufacturer pays it.
  4. Replacement under our C-10 electrical license, and the unit confirmed reporting.

Solar repair questions for Valley Village

Does Cali Energy repair solar in Valley Village?

Yes. Cali Energy services home solar in Valley Village: microinverter and inverter replacements under warranty, monitoring and communications. CSLB #1032379, based in Northridge; call +1-323-844-7777.

My monitoring stopped. Is my system broken?

Not necessarily. On a Valley Village system the monitoring stopped because the carrier retired its 3G network; the system itself had not failed, and a modem or a move to the house network brings the monitoring back.

Who pays for the labor on a warranty replacement?

The manufacturer's warranty covers the device; some manufacturers reimburse labor on a separate request. On our Valley Village system the device was replaced under warranty and we filed the labor reimbursement separately.

How fast is a microinverter claim?

On our Valley Village system the claim was approved two days after it was opened, and the replacement shipped within the week.
